That may go down as the biggest understatement of 2006. The fact that Dell adopted AMD at all for anything was considered by just about everyone as the equivalent of Hell freezing over. The fact that they landed the most technically complex 4S+ high-end server systems, once the exclusive domain of Intel, indeed rarified air that AMD was never considered even remotely worthy to breath, speaks to the enormity of Dell's adoption.
