So you are suggesting that, rather than provide air conditioned room and board to the armed criminals who got busted, bringing among other criminal endeavor to the USA, murder, prostitution, and 6 billion dollars worth of illegal substances last year ... we should hire them to build the wall that would protect us from their kind? Why not put them on a chain gang to build the wall as part of their punishment?

The Minutemen did consider hiring illegals to build their 400 yards of fence. The expose of them on Steven Colbert, as well as the "The Decider" superhero comic on The Daily Show were hilarious last night. In Colbert's report the Minutemen reveal themselves to be pretty foolish. Although of course the issue they are protesting is an important one, and has been for 50 years. Bush never did jack about it until his rightwing bases demanded it starting an election season.
