Let 'em stay, give them a path to citizenship and in 20 years...they will be 25% of the population or so I hear.

you discover that the first day the temporary workers are here they can apply for a green card through their employer

This is somewhat disingenuous. Yes, they can apply for a green card but it doesn't mean they will be granted one. The bar for getting a green card is quite high and then you have country specific quotas which can further delay approval by several years.

I read it too and what I understand it to mean is we are all on this planet temporarily and that anyone and anybody from anyplace who wants to can live temporarily in the USA until death do us part, or permanently.

BUT if a temporarily live immigrant shall die on US soil while living and working temporarily at a permanent job, then he/she may be buried temporarily on US soil unless some other deceased US born citizen can prove that the temporary worker is occupying a burial plot that displaced the US born citizen and that the person who was turfed out of their rightful burial plot is now living dead under a freeway overpass in which case he/she is now homeless and refuses to work, and this would now allow others to come into the USA and dig potatoes OR graves....see?
