Considering that AMD's cheapest Athlon 64 X2 3800+ with 512KBx2 L2 only sells for a bit less than that it must either mean Conroe and Merom yields are really good or AMD's X2 yields are really bad. ;-)

Or that we will be seeing big price drops in AMD products once NGA arrives in volume. No sense lowing prices when there is no competition.

Given INTC's cost structure, do you expect any added volume to be able to offset the price cuts.

I sure looks like INTC is making a major bet that NGA will take back market share.

The restructuring should save some money, but as I've been saying all along it looks like anything less than an NGA homerun and INTC has big problems.
