Fargo isn't my favorite Coen Brothers movie. That would be Blood Simple, which I watch every few years. Fargo I've watched a couple of times.

There are some good scenes. I can't help but laugh at the sight of Steve Buscemi's foot sticking out of the chipper, his sock on crooked. I know, that's sick!

Frances McDormand (Marge Gunderson) is a gem.

They took some of our speech patterns an reflected them in a fun house mirror - which is what made it funny. In the theater I watched it in the audience roared every time one of the characters opened their mouths.

Dialect humor has always been popular here and never goes stale.

I thought it was very realistic, although perhaps the Norwegian twang might have been a little overdone.
