I've always said that this war is about forcing the moderate Arab world to face the menace that is seeking to dominate them.

It's working. The message of terrorism is spreading rapidly throughout the world. It's a rather clever, but counter-intuitive argument. If we can get the terrorists to commit more acts of terrorism year over year then eventually we'll "win". I wish Bush would make that point in one of his addresses to the American people.

He could have added a paragraph about Saudi Arabia. SA continues with their education program to hate Jews and Christians.

Marc Lynch, an Arab world specialist writing in the National Interest magazine, said the US was failing to counter the jihadis' multi-media onslaught despite its emphasis on public diplomacy.

Public diplomacy. Also known as, it you don't submit to the wishes of the US, we'll starve you and your people [sanctions]. And if that doesn't work we'll bring the wrath of our military down on you. Saudi Arabia being exempt as they like us and have lots of oil.
