I am not sure what Bible you read, but: Much of Jesus' life is documented, not obscure. Paul did not invent Christianity, for it was in existence for about 10 years before. His first contact with it was when he held the coats for those who stoned Stephen, a deacon of the church. Paul did meet Jesus, on his way to Damascus, after He had ascended to heaven, for He appeared to him and spoke to him and on more than one occasion afterward. Mark chapter 16 is about the resurrection of Jesus.

That is not true. Mark does indeed describe the resurrection. Please see below.
