His mistake was forgetting the stop, and he blames only himself.

Ever since, his rule is to enter the stop first then make the trade.

His pattern was (probably still is) to generally make two trades a day. One in the morning, then is it moves his way he takes his dogs for a walk.

Then a second in the afternoon. So he was doing what he always did, except he forgot the stop.
