Actually in another post, i posed the possiblity of a regional grouping of israel, palestine and jordan as a more viable entity. An EU for the mideast. The arabs couldnt beat the israelis in war or thru terror but the highpowered israeli model can help boost the standard of living for the region not to mention ending tyrannies and promoting democracy. The units in the EU can be geographical but they also can be economic and religious if need be. Just thinking out of the box--the hatred runs deep but it is soooo counterproductive for all.

The problem with Israel is demographics and not just in Israel. Not only do Israelis barely make replacement babies but Jews outside Israel intermarry very frequently.

Maybe they should consider conversion. Maybe they can adopt the fundamentalist Christocrats as they appear to be strange bedfellows these days.

Maybe everyone should become citizens of the world and agnostics. Then we could quarrel and fight honestly and openly about what we're REALLY fighting and quarreling about: resources.

Everything else is really just a ruse for the easily persuaded.
