Also- IB requires a background search by Homeland Security as part of the new Patriot Act prior to approval. No shit. ( It might be standard for all new brk accts in the US) It was a rude awakening for me when I saw the concent form in the application. times have changed... Mission Accomplished... LOL ZM

I wired money into a new IB account last October. It never got there because someone along the line had spelled my name wrong. I emailed, called, IM-ed for three weeks. Could not find anyone at IB who was the least bit interested in solving the problem. Life is too short for that garbage.
