Everyone is moving to a limited number of images to simplify support.

If 30 users need 64-bit, then all 5,000 (or whatever) users at company get 64-bit so that a single image can be used.

It's not like there's a price premium for the 64-bit version, and since some users need it now and more will need it later, why not just go 100% 64-bit? It's free if you do and a costly support problem if you don't.

Your doubts are noted. Line up with wbmw and tecate.

Dual core isn't required for maximum Vista compatibility. 64 bit is. There are at least some corporations who are blocking notebooks that aren't 64 bit capable. I know of at least one Fortune 50, assuming my brother in law isn't lying to me.
