Again... "intelligence" is a tricky word... BUT I was responding to Solon's post using the Panda's thumb as evidence to the contrary. He's saying if the Panda's thumb was observed to somehow have evolved despite it being a hindrence, that would support his arguement... I'm just pointing out that it was useful and so using his logic would support the other side. So you're disagreeing with his evidence as well as my rebuttle I assume?

I haven't thought it through...I guess I'd rather use the word awareness, or consciousness than intelligence, but that's probably my lack of understanding what the word should include.

Piaget's description of all intelligent perception is in terms of two complementrary movements; "accommodation" and "assimilation". Sounds good to me??
