Bigfishy,

Sorry for continuing this on Big Dog's thread, but I'll take a different angle...

Where do you think the extra $10K you paid for that Prius goes? Perhaps lining a Toyota executive's front or back pocket? If the price was more affordable for everyone perhaps there would be more Hybrids on the road? Wouldn't that help everyone out?

Also, re: "Like comparing an apple to a raison". Isn't the comparison "apples to oranges"? I've eaten a raisin. In fact they're great with a little peanut butter on apple slices. I've never eaten a raison before. What do they taste like?

Have a nice day,
Mark

Hello bigfishy, Prius

It didn't seem to me the article was bashing Prius.More telling was the fact that Prius is not selling in Europe where gasoline is considerably more expensive than here.

The economics don't seem compelling even with a tax credit for me as I keep a car until it falls apart. Still have a 13 year old Lexus.

Of course the hollywood crowd wants to make a statement but they never seem to realize the earth needs population control more than it needs Prius. Bono doesn't get it yet!

I'm glad you like your Prius. The market will decide unless the government rams something down our throats.

regards,

Anyer

Who the heck is silly enough to buy an econobox in any event? Hybird or otherwise? I could give a rats behind about mileage and the environment when I consider safety issues.

Give me two plus tons of steel around me at 15mpg vs your 1 ton econobox at 50mpg anyday.
