The 'improvisation" or 'ad hoc' nature of certain evolutionary 'solutions' could easily point a profound variance from "random" evolution. One of the big 'problems' with a theory based on "random" evolution is the large 'gaps' in evolutionary branches yet to be 'filled in'. I don't think Darwin necessarily assumed evolution had to be random and based on ramdom gene mutations did he? < After a period of time this specialization traps itself. The Koala for instance is endangered because of the disappearance of eucalyptus trees which is the only food it can eat.> So? Does extinction mean lack of intelligence??
