A purchase of ATYT would, I think, negatively affect customer relations with NVDA.

However, AMD runs the risk of INTC buying one of them and that could be disasterous if it came at the wrong time and bad at any time.

Strategically, as well as defensively, there are good reasons to do this.

Tactically, how does AMD buy a $4B company and build $2.5B in FAB upgrades? Is it hostile or friendly? Share exchange?
