Did you see the news of Seagate laying off about 13,000 North American employees from the Maxtor acquisition?

If INTC wanted to maximize hurt to AMD, a take over of NVDA would do more damage than a take over of ATYT.

But regardless of INTC's actions, it seems that an AMD/NVDA merger would be better than AMD/ATYT.

It probably is a pump and dump rumor, but it does highlight an AMD vulnerability.

But other possibilities:
ATYT wants to merge with AMD.
NVDA is going Conroe to the max.
