Many ways to skin a cat.

I believe we have now entered the time when there will be less and less talk about inflation but a lot more talk about a weakening economy.

I believe we will see expectations for a June rate hike drop to less than 50% likely before the end of next week. Today, I believe, was the pivot point for that switch of thinking whereby fear of economic weakness will start to outweigh most inflation worries.

Gold certainly acted poorly today, but gold stocks held up very well.

And the gold stocks usually lead gold -- not visa versa.

So I retract my earlier bearish comments.
