You asked me to consider a hypothetical situation in which the situation were reversed. Its a good exercise and I don't mind gaming it a bit. That is what if other countries had the ability to stop the USA from weaponizing. And then consider how I would feel about them. Then the natural conclusion to draw would be lets not do anything unto other countries that we wouldn't have them do unto us, right?

The reverse hypothetical you presented was not realistic because it didn't include the very real aspects of when and why the USA gets involved with trying to limit the weaponizing of other countries. We do that when another country is perceived as threatening to our interests.
