<PBG, if successful, will have the most desired oil sands solution on the planet. How does one value that? Venezuela has the same issues.>

My solution is to be long one stock only to a ridiculously large percentage of my portfolio. The position is hedged by a heavy (200% notional value) short (long S&P put) position that expires in December. The puts are still cheap even after the recent increase in volatility. If the market goes up PBG will most likely swamp the loss of the puts. If PBG fails to perform (unlikely considering how cheap the stock still is) then I'm screwed anyways.
