On March 22nd, 1894, the first Stanley Cup contest was played. A one game playoff between the Montreal Hockey Club and the Ottawa Capitals. 5,000 eager fans paying 25 cents each for rush seats and 75 cents for reserve seats watched Montreal defeat the Capitals 3-1." bestcdn.com

Now that we're older Bill, I'm thinking that reserved seats are more appropriate for us. I wonder how much they are now? How many barrels (40 US gallons unrefined) of crude constitutes a seat to the cup for one game, not to mention possibly seven? Makes me think that fossil fuel is still very cheap!
