Pride in ones Country doesnt hurt either Declining to recite the Pledge is not the same thing as declining to pledge allegiance to the country. Nor does it demonstrate an lack or responsibility that I can see. Nor does it indicate a lack of pride in the country. Reciting the Pledge isn't an accurate proxy for any of those things. If you want to rail at folks for insufficient pride or allegiance or responsibility, fine, but first find valid examples of those things.
