I live in the wild kingdom.

Today I saw a garter snake while working in the back yard.
Gave me the willies.

Next I saw a bigazz black spider that had a yellowish orange speckle thing on it's back. Black widow? I dunno.
Gave me the willies.

I saw a mouse under my tractor after riding it up the hill. I pushed the tractor away to see it was a momma mouse with it's very young baby hiding under it's butt. They scampered off a few feet to the grass and stayed perfectly still. So did I. I whispered over to Junior to come and look. He wanted to keep them. I said no way. We just watched them.

I lifted the hood of the tractor and another mouse scampered out. It hopped all about looking for a way to get back into its home while I fended off my John Deere.

That's when I heard a little baby mouse crying in the engine compartment. I looked and saw it. Its eyes were still closed.

Junior got a bucket and we put it in a brought it over to the bush where the mother was now hiding. It continued to cry.

As we had hoped, Momma returned to it. We were so happy. We rejoiced at the reunion.

Then Momma proceeded to kill it.

It was rather shocking to witness.
The kids could not comprehend. I tried my best to explain why it happened.

It gave me the willies.
