"But at least Halliburton pulled in some good coin."

Hawkie did too! As a mercenary, he doesn't have to worry about being second-guessed about who he shot, either.

You're just grumpy because Bush's little democracy experiment is AN UTTER DISASTER AND A COMPLETE FAILURE THAT HAS ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING OTHER THAN DEATH AND INCREASED THE THREAT OF TERRORISM WORLD WIDE.

Just little "pawns" in your little global chess game, aren't they.. the people of the Mid-East..

Just continue facilitating dictators and monarchs who are so corrupt that people become so cynical that they yearn for "cleansing" hand of Jihad...

Yeah.. the experiment that every Presidency since FDR has conducted, preserving "order over democracy", has really netted us some tremendous love, hasn't it. Great success.

What you've FAILED to realize (and you probably won't until its too late and we have to wage total war against the Takfirists) is that orderly DEMOCRACY is the only path to legitimate government that will lead people to talk and find compromise, rather than shooting it out in the streets.

Without democracy, there is no outlet for releasing the hatred through intermediated talks, and for promoting and re-educating respect for tolerance.

And if Iraq's democracy fails, what will you propose to replace it??

Oh yeah.. that's right.. it's not your problem, so you don't have to come up with solutions..
