Actually Bush does not even allow Nightline to post up the names of the Americans that died in Iraq.

Bush doesn't even bother to count the dead Iraqis.

Yeah.. and do any of the rest of you.

Another weak move. Who tells the US military not to write down estimates of Iraqi deaths? It sure isn't me. I've said it before and I'll say it again. US losses in Iraqi are insignificant compared to what we've brought down on the Iraqis. But you folks are perfectly happy about Reagan and Bush Sr. siding with Saddam. I'd just as soon have Bush Sr. tried along with Saddam as a co-conspirator in a war crimes trial. I'd have Reagan there as well if he wasn't dead.

And what's been the result? Three decades of lost time for the Vietnamese as they were forced to suffer under the brutal and corrupt regime in Hanoi.

Yeah.. bet you're real proud of that decision..

Nixon was your boy. I think you should invite Kissinger to speak to some Vietnam Vets. McNamara at least had the guts to tell the American people about the lies. Kissinger is like the energizer bunny. He just keeps on lying.

Do you think all of this killing is going to end just because US troops leave?

Of course not. In fact I expect it to be worse. And the longer the US stays the worse it will be for the Iraqis. If we're "lucky" the carnage will be limited to Iraqi terroritory and won't draw in the ethnic groups in neighboring countries. That's if we're lucky.

How much longer do you expect the US to "be tough"? How long do you expect the American people to buy into ~"It's a choice between cut and run and being tough"? How much longer do you expect the American people to listen to "We're making progress."?

ALL THE WAR-GAME SIMULATIONS HAD BAD OUTCOMES. ALL OF THEM.

You morons couldn't handle nation building in Haiti. What made you think you could reshape the mid-east into a democracy with the flip of a dictator?

Go kiss a Saudi.

The killing of US troops will end - rather miraculously, when they leave. The rest of it is ON YOUR HANDS as you and others like you promoted and continued to support this ridiculously incompetent mess.

The flood gates are open. Dubyette (and you) have declared open season for chaos.

I hope you're happy with what you support.

<Do you think all of this killing is going to end just because US troops leave?>

We can only know one thing with certainty: The unilateral invasion of Iraq by the US is responsible for the killings now taking place in Iraq. We have almost certainly destroyed any chance for peace, security and political progress in Iraq. If our mission was to destroy Iraq and promote terrorism then we can say with pride 'mission accomplished'. On the other hand, if we actually wanted to thwart terrorism and to help the people in Iraq we can say that our invasion of Iraq triggered the worst political and national security mess in living memory.

The invasion of Iraq is not a source of deep shame for the US and a national security blunder. For Iraq, the only options left are bad ones. Civil and regional wars are now going to be very difficult to contain and terrorism never had it so good.

Meanwhile back at the ranch the President stays busy with the truly pressing issues of the day like banning gay marriage -- pathetic.
