I'll be more than happy to go there.

Yeah.. I'm sure you're more than willing to blame the current administration for every situation he inherited from the previous administration, with NO SUPPORT from the democrats in eliminating illegal immigration.

It's only been the outcry from the American people that have provided him the political leverage to be able to do something about it and make it a national issue that democrats recognize that they can't ignore.

But they are still able to subvert it and make their partisan attacks about how Bush isn't doing anything about it.

We can't just ship back 10% of Mexico's population and then deny them re-entry to the US. And if you believe that we can, or should, do just that, you're a fool.

HOWEVER, we CAN facilitate documenting them and issuing temporary guest worker status upon completion of a background check. What this will do is provide incentives to those who are seeking legal status in the US and are not involved in criminal activities, which would free up available resources to concentrate on those illegals who are undesirable.

It's pretty apparent that foreign labor is necessary for this economy to function. What's at question is making sure we know who is, and who isn't, coming in.

But Democrats are sending conflicting signals and don't seem to know what position to take on the issue.

And of course, the Republicans are more than willing to take advantage of this disarray in their platform.
