Laz, you're right, I should be more adamant. But, to do that, I would have had to do the research to make sure I was right. By using a lot of "I thinks" and "as I remembers," I can make YOU do the research!! <GGG>

One thing I do remember, though, for sure, no doubt about it, and without equivocation, is that NYC bonds were rated as junk, and were paying very high rates. This was in Carter's time when interest rates in general were soaring, and the NYC bonds were paying in excess of 20%. Sadly, they were denominated in large amounts, making it almost impossible for an average guy like me to be able to buy them. Besides, back then (and now) I didn't like NYC and kinda hoped they'd just go away. <G>
