Have you looked into previous calls by Bruce Diesen ? this is from last December when he said processor prices dropped 20%-30%. Did such an event actually happen in that quarter ? Both Intel and AMD had record revenues and profits.

In a note sent to investors to discuss October’s global semiconductor figures, Diesen noted that processor sales at both Intel and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. plunged in October. He also observed that processor average selling prices (ASPs) fell from $110 to the middle of the $80 to $90 range, indicating that Intel had trouble delivering notebook processors.

or were Hector's comments that he wouldn't react to his competitor's inventory missteps correct?

He said AMD had to be careful not to OVERreact. Sounds like a combo of price cuts and ceding some share as Intel gets rid of inventory.

I, along with Drbes, seem to be one of the few board longs who hasn't sold yet. Bought from 1998 through 2003, and no stock sales ever.

I assumed that you had sold some six months ago when you said:

"Don't you mean a 235 week high?

"What a long, strange wait its been. Architect selected."

What was the significance of selecting an architect when AMD was at a 235-week high? Have you guys been waiting six months to get started? AMD is almost back to where it was then.
