I misunderstood Dale. I thought that whatever material we brought here whether it represents a view to the left or right was permissible as long as when responding to that post others did not denigrate the messenger. We all know pretty much where we stand on the political platform. Some issues are certainly more to one side or the other and in this case I am truly upset that the president has had to bring this amendment issue to bear particularly when he said he would NOT... If Molly can state the facts better than me.. then I cannot see why she is not allowed...

It's too bad Molly had to say "republicans" rather than "Bush and the republicans who agree with him", because there are some republicans that part company with Bush on this issue. I don't see this as a republican issue, but rather an issue of this republican administration.

I am a Republican, voted for Bush twice, and I got a kick out of that Ivans piece. I'd rather Congress spent less time on window dressing and more time on serious issues. And flag-burning and gay marriage are not things I worry about. They know they're going to lose their majority in November, and they're in a rush to get things done, is what it looks like to me.
