Hello Pezz, <<bought ... thus using up the remainder of powder>>

Ouch!! You will make some moolah, perhaps, or not, depending.

In any case, a tip of the hat by me to salute you, as one comrade would as another depart on a mission that may ... well, before it is absolutely too late, may I offer another observation and one suggestion?

Observation: it is looking hideously ugly out there, and the screaming will soon give way to ... well, I suppose more screaming, as the first wave of combatants get slaughtered, alarming the second and third waves, but only louder and more pervasive, and then, shocked silence upon triple waterfall planet-wide re-pricing, to be followed by blood curdling cries, and then, absolute silence ... ...

Given the ridiculous valuations founded on faulty, fictional numbers gillespieresearch.com , the space below is ... deep ………

We are witnessing nothing less than the beginnings of cataclysmic destruction of the middle class, as the underpinnings of secure jobs, rising housing, and cheap financing crumble, to expose productivity for the fiction that it is, ridicule housing for the wealth that it isn’t, and remove the confusion between fiat money and genuine capital

Suggestion: stop p*ssing into the wind, quit struggling against the tide, step to the side, now, immediately, allocate 50/50 to USD and finance.yahoo.com (effectively, Euro), and watch the spectacle, and wait a bit, perhaps a few weeks, perhaps 9 months, and, when liquidity’s ebbing gives way to inevitable torrential inflation, then, keep it simple and keep it true, for inflation is the only way out

We have had a few years of by-and-by Everything Up, and so, physically speaking, accounting for conservation of mass-energy, we ought to have a concentrated dose of Everything Down, because fear is more powerful than greed, and absolute horror the most powerful of all emotions, in all except the already perished.

<<2001 and 2002 bring back fond memories as i made money both years>> ... I saved my money in 2001, and made oodles in 2002, although I did remember having a good time on SI in those years on the old BBR thread. Gloom and doom, especially of the biblical sort, is no fun without company.

The world is now in the hands of a charlatan professor who likes to drop secret printing presses from green helicopters, and pour fuel on fires, saying one moronic utterance one day to be followed by another utterance of the moronic the next, and doing his ill considered thinking on international television.

We are done for.

Too horrifying to contemplate.

Hello Pezz, Last Night's Report:

In line with this post Message 22519212 , I bought, by proxy (nonUS folks cannot otherwise buy), via managed account

finance.yahoo.com
finance.yahoo.com
finance.yahoo.com

... and I purchased on own more puts on XHB (homie ETF) at the 33-34 level, given that the earlier trade is working out well Message 22446091 at the 40 strike level :0)

BTW, all those housing puts and shorts, not yet closed after my US real estate sale, are now solidly in the moolah. I am reconsidering what to do to get even with GOOG.

Hello Pezz, Operation secret code “____” Report #1:

Call to arms, to those who dare, all or nothing.

Initiated major operation to buy, buy lots, and then buy some more, before it is too late, preemptively, of smallish market capitalization stock. The target was left for dead immediately after recent IPO, and sporting daily trading volume of miniscule nothing.

I am 1/10 done, although accounted for almost 100% of today’s volume ;0/ ... Like, I can make self wealthier by simply keep bidding for more shares ;0

So, must hush hush until the take down is done.

I am hoping for a drubbing of general market so I can complete the other 90% of the mission, before it is too late.

Chugs, J

P.S. and yes, I am terrified, because once fully in, may not be able to get out.

Hello Pezz, Operation secret code “____” Report #2:

I got the wished for drubbing of the general market here in HK, down 1.52% at 11:00am.

I continued to rally the troops under my command, parachuting recon in force deep behind the lines, watching the inaction second by second, and then, suddenly striking at the queue of Asks, and then mopping up any stragglers, ahead of the other bids.

The HK market is down, and here I am, buying the micro cap, going more contrarian than I ever did. Perhaps I do not understand the situation.

I am now 2/10 done, and will probably give the thin microcap market a respite for the rest of today ... since I am not keen to make self wealthier by marking to market to my own last successful bid ;0

The final position size may be of the mind-bendingly large and puking-scale.

So, must continue to hush hush until the entire take down is done, or, god forbid, I am taken down.

Chugs, J

P.S. I am learning a lot about the market this way :0)

Hello Pezz, Operation secret code “____” Report #3:

The already terrible morning market turned into an absolute rout by afternoon, propagating rogue wave building up momentum to crash into NYSE quote.yahoo.com

Tokyo puked up breakfast, lunch and dinner from November to now, down 4% for the day.

Gold down, setting up to give back all gains since what seemed like forever ago on another planet in a different universe.

Strangely, oil, the physical, is still hanging tough, perhaps only doomed to fight a suicidal rear guard action.

I hesitated for a moment, looked at the behaviour of my secret mission code named "____", and put in a bid, at 8% (and 4% below my average) below my peak purchase price, just to see whether any wanderer would get unlucky and be ambushed on the way home.

The stock is hanging very tough, so far.

OTOH, perhaps I haven't a clue of the dangers. The position is already substantial, and I still have perhaps 8 trading sessions for accumulation.

I do not know that I will go for all ten tranches.

Hello Pezz, Operation secret code “____” Report #4:

Hong Kong is firm and resolute again, calmed by the steadfastness of US market as indicated by the market indices (never mind the energy and commodity indices, most in HK do not know a commodity if they saw one).

The worldwide repricing s taking a respite (thank goodness) quote.yahoo.com

I bought another tranche of the one-way bet (I just am not sure which way) at basically yesterday's closing price. The stock continues to be well bid.

The play is actually a long term play, as opposed to a flip, but its value is matched by its unconventional profile.

The business in question is everything I like (service and distribution, RMB denomination, consumerism, cash flow, zero debt, and implicitly 3x P/E).

I am basically buying cash with cash, which fits the environment going forward, and yes, its value may not be hidden for long, once everyone here is done with the business at hand, namely exiting from the general market.

Will say more later, when I am done buying.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

1. I gave Operation secret code "____" a respite, and yet, the share price held firm. I see one risk with the share, and it is the risk of bird flu. But then bird flu is not just a risk to "____" business, but a menace to everything else. In any case, I will give the respite a few days, and see. The position size is already puke-inducing huge.

2. I also purchased some taels of paper gold at HKD 5,312/tael (1 tael = 1.2 oz, HKD 7.78 = USD 1.00), perhaps as much as 1/20 of what I sold when gold was at USD 680/oz. I cannot say I made a brave move :0) The journey is long, view is good, and company fine, so we might as well enjoy the trip by taking it slow.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

I purchased more taels of paper gold at HKD 5,387/tael (1 tael = 1.2 oz, HKD 7.78 = USD 1.00), bringing the total paper hoard to 1/3 as much as what I sold when gold was at USD 680/oz, or USD 104 ago, ancient history, in the time of Adam & Eve.

I, along with the market, is saying to Helicopter Ben BurnAndKaput ... nah, I am in polite company and so will not use the "F" word.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

I purchased Topix Banks ETF quote.yahoo.co.jp at Yen 427

Hello Pezz, Today's Report continued:

I purchased still more taels of paper gold at HKD 5,399-5,401/tael (1 tael = 1.2 oz, HKD 7.78 = USD 1.00), bringing the total paper hoard to 2/3 as much as what I sold when gold was at USD 680/oz, or USD 104 ago, ancient history, in the time of Adam & Eve.

The Internet-enabled account only allows so many taels per transaction, and so as I repeatedly inputted orders and tapped on the RETURN key, I mumbled something about, "F--- you Bernanke".

Hello Pezz, Today's Report continued, again:

I purchased enough taels of paper gold at HKD 5,411/tael (1 tael = 1.2 oz, HKD 7.78 = USD 1.00) to bring the total paper hoard to full strength on this side of the pond, 100% of what I sold when gold was at USD 680/oz (HKD 6,360/tael), ancient history, in the time of Adam & Eve.

Also bought China tracker finance.yahoo.com at HKD 56.80 for a trade, bracked with sell instructions at 62.7, stop loss 55.3, lowest selling price 54.

Tonight I might decide to carpet bomb GLD and GDX with buy orders.

Hello Pezz, Last Night's Report:

I closed out this Message 22522421 bear bet at aggregate breakeven, plus/minus, because the immediate danger of crash is no more, for Helicopter Ben BurnAndKaput blinked, even if Poole didn't get the message. We cannot expect all the morons to be pissing in the same direction.

I closed out these trades Message 22446091 at aggregate profit north of 25%.

The immediate danger of a crash is no more, I reckon, and if not so, it would be because of factors making gold going up, in which case I could care less.

Hello Pezz, Operation secret code “____” Report #5:

(1) I completed the acquisition program that started so Message 22541099 , accumulating a substantive position in this Modern Beauty modernbeautysalon.com at average price of HKD 1.07 finance.yahoo.com

The company runs beauty spas, mostly in HK, but also starting in China (Shanghai). Its business model starts with the sale of ‘use-it-or-lose-it’ 2-year coupons to ladies (now also targeting men), offering efficient, consistent, and value services (beauty treatment, massage, etc) in a posh environment, hopefully desired by the stressed.

It is a China consumer play, profitable, choked with cash. If they can get choked on that much cash just from tiny Hong Kong, imagine what they might do in great big China !

Backing out the cash hoard, the company is selling at next to nothing PE (say 3), and can ignore the liabilities, because there is no debt, and what liabilities there are, they are really equal to services to be provided, non-refundable in cash, and vaporizes in 24 months.

The lady CEO founder is a beautician, ambitious to create a brand name and a great big chain of beauty salons, didn’t need the cash via IPO, just floated 25% of the company, and probably will distribute as much dividend from this cash business as she can.

Now I wait, and pray that bird flu does not break out while I am still committed.

(2) On my recent purchases of gold, since its correction, for the early buy-and-hoarders, or debacle, to the non-believes who wanted to get richer quicker, like:

Message 22545112 HKD 5,312 per tael
Message 22548045 HKD 5,387 per tael
Message 22548339 HKD 5,399 per tael
Message 22563352 HKD 5,432 per tael

I am now better off, with gold at HKD 5,541 per tael, and hope to be even better than better off, shortly, re-experiencing the intoxicating energy of inflation, or as Paulson puts it, ‘grow out of debt’. Love the word play.

Hello Pezz, Last Night’s Report: I figure Ben BurnAndKaput Bernanke is about to abandone his attack, given the depleted state of his store of weapons, and in view of Paulson's stated strategy of "grow or bust", and so, to be true to the Force worldmarket.blogspot.com ,

I did …
(a) Added to solid silver finance.yahoo.com at USD 110.16
(b) Bought new mish mesh gold mining finance.yahoo.com at USD 38.62
(c) Revisited with Indonesian gold and Canadian oil sand finance.yahoo.com at USD 53.07
(d) Added Canadian natural gas finance.yahoo.com at CAD 24
(e) Added Eastern Europe natural gas finance.yahoo.com at CAD 3.80
(f) Revisited Argentine farm land finance.yahoo.com at USD 13.49
(g) Revisited Brazilian oil finance.yahoo.com at USD 88.90

And I had a good night’s sleep, because I had
(i) earlier loaded the bunker with gold
Message 22545112 HKD 5,312 per tael
Message 22548045 HKD 5,387 per tael
Message 22548339 HKD 5,399 per tael
Message 22563352 HKD 5,432 per tael

(ii) am positioned for continuing China boom Message 22585913 , at least for a while

(iii) and can appreciate having closed out my bear trade, for a while Message 22551363 .

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

Travelling, so leaving command central for a few days, so worried about paper cash in its diseased state, and so decided to further increase wager for the rise of paper gold, a trading derivative of the real taels, exchanging at a rate of HKD 5,732 per tael (1.2oz per tael, HKD 7.76 = USD 1.00).

I added 25% to the earlier bets:

Message 22545112 HKD 5,312 per tael
Message 22548045 HKD 5,387 per tael
Message 22548339 HKD 5,399 per tael
Message 22563352 HKD 5,432 per tael

... averaging up, since the value is SUGUDD-la, seeing how Helicopter Ben BurnAndKaput Bernanke blinked, and how the Japanese officialdom is aiming to sacrifice Japan monetary system to hold J6P up.

If events go the way I expect them to, even micro-caps may be good value, along with just about everything else.

No, I do not expect gold to reach USD 730 before the summer of 2006 is out, but I can hope.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:

Just wrapped up travels in Shanghai, now at the airport, looking forward to homeward bound trip.

I am happy to note that (a) gold is higher now than when I left HK 2 days ago, and (b) even more happily, that Modern Beauty finance.yahoo.com which I had accumulated Message 22585913 over so many days at 1.07, has evidently been discovered, with the price popping to 1.19, a good healthy initial sign, on heavier (10 x) than usual volume, which is supposedly bullish, as if I am on to a fortunate thing.
