It's just the paperwork which isn't. <I suppose none of those suicide bombers who are blowing up Mosques, schools, and police stations are real either?? All part of the "office of disinformation"?? > It's hard to fake a live head-hacking, [if live is the right word], even with modern digital imaging. Not that I've seen any myself, but I suspect that it really is an activity commonly enjoyed by Moslems and is not just an Office of Disinformation campaign. Somehow it has the ring of truth about it. I do think there was a Beslan mass-murdering of children by Moslems, and I do think the Twin Towers collapsed. <Which btw, WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED TO PRODUCE SUCH A DOCUMENT since it's only purpose would have been to persuade Americans, and other nations, about Saddam's complicity in 9/11. > That's a good one. The disbanded OoD has in its constitution that it isn't allowed to trick Americans. But of course the disinformational constitution is the first thing to get right. Not that there is an OoD to have a constitution of course - nudge nudge, wink wink. When somebody's business is dishonesty, it's a little difficult to convince people that the leopard has suddenly lost its spots. <Why is it so hard for you to believe that Saddam had a vested interest in co-opting Bin Laden and Zawahiri in order to strike at his two greatest enemies, the US and Saudi Arabia (with Iran coming in third)?? Why is it so hard for you to believe that IIS personnel have been acting as senior leadership amongst the Jihadists?? > Hawk, I read The Arabian Nights so many decades ago it seems like another era, and I remember almost nothing about it, but I do remember the idea of the shifting alliances. From what I know of Saddam and co, I would not put anything beyond him. But the fact that I would not be surprised by any hideous thing Saddam and his henchmen got up to, doesn't mean I believe much of what the official USA line is either. I'm way too long in the tooth Hawk. I've seen it all before, two or three times. Since the USA had been bombing and harassing Saddam for over a decade and had killed swarms of his soldiers and destroyed his army and hopes for megalomania, it would surprise me if he was not plotting revenge and making as much trouble as he could and conspiring with anyone and everyone who would help him in his conflict with the USA, even if the temporary ally was merely a lesser enemy to be later disposed of. Okay, I do admit to being deliberatly provocative, but I really do take such claims about translated captured documents proving evil-doer intentions with a large grain of salt. Having seen the whole WMD fiasco, you can't be surprised that I'm a bit jaundiced about comparable claims; this time about vast Saddamista right-wing conspiracies, or maybe they are left wing. Mqurice
