I see our expectations are moderating as time goes on. Was it 50+ after the March expiration ? Then 45 after q1 earnings. Then 40 for April. Then 35 for Dell. Now 30.

Since you like to extrapolate trends, I expect you'll be looking wistfully at 25's in July.

Re: I'm thinking that AMD july 30 calls are beginning to look very attractive. After all, the negative impact of Conroe on AMD's price is already waaaay overblown, given the above "production constraints as pointed out by anand above, and given Q2 earnings that blow away the current $0.29 consensus!

Could be, but I think it's very likely that Intel's earnings will take down the whole sector. You may get a better opportunity after those are released.

25% of Intel's Performance Mainstream desktop processor shipments will be based on Conroe.

Question: What percentage of desktop processor shipments are "Performance Mainstream?"

given that AMD's 65nm competition is likely to "nuke" Conroes performance

To the contrary, 65nm will not likely exceed 90nm speeds until Q207 at the earliest, judging by AMD's OEM roadmap, and Dirk's comments. The K8L is their first chance at closing the gap, and we have no actual performance figures for that yet.
