The arabs have enough land to spare what probably amounts to about 1% for the jewish state. That was always propaganda and bs. Jerusalem is a real issue---being #3 on the hit parade for the muslims. (of course for the jews not only is jerusalem #1 but there is no #2) In the old days--pre 67-- jerusalem was split between israel and Jordan. The western wall was on the jordan side so what did the arabs turn it into, a urinal and thats the truth. Frankly i dont care what the arabs think about israel sovereignty over jerusalem. In a peaceful environment the Jews will do a far better job at preserving the rights of all four religions. And the bottom line is that they already have de facto if not de jure control right now.
I am not a big fan of any of the religions or at least their orthodox compnents. For me the most pious all live in the middle ages. Israel will be a far fairer administrator and no one will be pissing on the al-Aksa Mosque or the church of the Holy Sepulcher.
