They are both wrong, especially the war-lovers. Though Jesus of course pled for a perfect loving world, he too knew that such a world was probably impossible given the beast in men. Sadly, religion has not made people around the world love peace enough to stop killing (except in places like Tibet) it has caused more wars than anything else. So has totalitarianism and nationalism of course. Doesn't mean religion is wrong, just that human nature is often wrong. If you think about it, very few wars (if any) in history have really been justified. Mostly based on power-mad leaders, lies, bigotry, thievery or crazy religious zealotry. Of source self-defense is another matter. We as a nation need to find a way back to the righteousness of being the world's peace-makers, not the world's war-makers. And though Islamic terrorists deserve to be taken out and killed, invading Iraq had nothing to do with real terrorism. In fact Zarqawi only came to Iraq after we invaded the place. Remember that. Prior to Bush's invasion there were no active terrorist cells in Iraq. But since Zarqawi was there we had to kill him, and now that he's gone, this is the perfect time for Bush to finally change course and start bringing our brave, weary, battered troops home. This is also Bush's last chance to go down in history as something other than a terribly dishonest and inept president. If he continues the war, he will squander another golden opportunity and our troops will be right back in the middle of a civil war we have no business being stuck in.
