I got a package at 7:45 this morning. It was a $20.00 gas tank filler hose that came from the US. Postage was paid in the US. There were no fees as the part is for my Studebaker. So the government collected $1.56 gst, $1.78 pst, and $6.00 to collect the other two fees. Now the package required a signature anyway, so for picking up $3.34 in tax it cost me an additional $6.00 in Canadian funds...... what a joke this country is. And the package is marked antique auto parts.
