The outrageous fees for outsourced customs inspections make me wonder if there were some sort of political connections when the gov't set up that system and gave out the contracts. Like you, I hate these fees. I often buy stuff from tigerdirect -- in Canada the .ca site seems to be just a facade for shipping the same products with the same website descriptions out of the US where they have the .com site but they typically charge 30% more for the items from Canada than their US websites (vs 10% exchange differential). They probably figure they can get away with charging effectively 20% more to Canadian customers (who pay shipping anyway) because of the ridiculous fees one pays for customs inspection when it is bought directly (rather than indirectly) from the US.

What year is thr Studebaker. That little torpedo looking one...1951 or 2 I think. Mayne a Studebaker Avanti?

Use to have a 1951 Ford club coup...first car paid for by being a sixteen year old on the steamships on the Great lakes.

When I was that age it just never ever occurred to me that I would someday be this old.... Have they got spare knees where you got that part?
