pompsander, The attack on Pearl Harbor happened on December 7, 1941. Four days after, FDR declared war on Japan, and Nazi Germany that day. The declaration of war by Germany was in response to the declaration by FDR.

Cozmo's post said the Germany did not declare war against America which was wrong unless I misread it but will check that out now.

pompsander, I was just a little bit off, and since both sides declared war on the same day, who did it first on that same day. Because of the time zones, it may have been Germany, but a few hours hardly makes it meaningful thing the way cozmo tried to make it. War was certain regardless of who said "BOO!" first.

My history of that account was from what I heard on the radio that day. Can you say the same?
