It is amazing that we are still talking about Kerry's Vietnam service, given that he will be DOA in 2008.

I think there are some who visit this thread to live in the past. This title very well suggests that if Bush screws up (which he is) then don't blame me.

Kerry, during his campaign maintained that in order to fight terrorism "effectively", we have to approach it as a law and order problem. Bush did not agree with that and instead deployed 135,000 troops and spent billions of dollars. But we know that the killing of Zarqawi was an outcome of a law and order situation. The locals provided the intelligence and merely two bombers did the job.

TOTAL BS! Not a single smearvet claim was true. How dare you continue lying and posting smearvet apologist BS long after every single smearvet claim has been painstakedly proven completely false. In fact, the main smearvets claims were not just wronig, but complete deliberate fabricatrions with not a single shred of evidence to even begin to support them. Just a hoax, an ugly smear campaign and very similar to the one Bushies waged against McCain in 2000.

When a Silver Star winning hero runs against Bush he is branded:

No Hero, A Coward, A Traitor, Who Helped the Enemy.

Just a lowdown dirty dishonest trick.

Kerry has been proven right on all major issues.
The only time Kerry was wrong was when he halfway trusted Bush-Cheney were telling the truth about the WMD, which we know how they were deliberately lying about.

Who will be president in 2008? Likely it will be one of these three, in no special order: Kerry, Warner or McCain.
A few others may compete, but Hillary and Guliani are non-starters, and no rightwinger will be allowed anywhere near the White House again for a long-long time.

So as for Kerry being "DOA in 2008" that's ridiculous. In fact, now we know he probably won in 2004, and democrats recognize that more and more. Bush cheated and lied to win. And McCain supported him.

Although McCain did do one truthful thing, called the smearvets "dishonest and dishonorable". But you still lie claiming they had anything to do with the truth. Which makes him a slimebag.

John Kerry's Skimmer Scam

The dangerous thing about Kerry's character seems to me not just that he tells these fish stories, but that he gets invested in them once told, and can't back off them if they get questioned. Worringly, he seems to really believe it once he's said it.

If he could just have waved his hand and admitted, well maybe I improved the story a little bit, but that's how I remember it, then it would have been no biggie.

But now, as Joan Vennochi points out, the credibility gap is on the table because Kerry puts it there.
