I'm sorry, but you dont know what you are talking about. Example, you cite Paris Hilton, I would point out to you that the HILTON FORTUNE was accumulated and passed on while the Inheritance tax ranged as high as 70 PERCENT. Yet, theirs is intact. The people that get hurt are the SLIGHTLY RICH who have enough to be comfortable but not enough to set up and administer the various trusts necessary to escape the tax. The superrich PAY NO INHERITANCE TAX, never had, never will, its the upper middle class that pay it, the family plumbing businesses, the family farms, those are the ones that have ASSETS but no CASH to fund the trusts. jdn

Your kidding right??? They'll STILL get plenty and if their parents really think they deserve it all then they can set things up so not a dime goes to the estate tax. So they don't deserve it but others, such as yourself, deserve their money because YOU'VE earned it right. There is no justification for the government to steal their money. It is an immoral tax no matter how you spin it. if they get rid of the estate tax it will cost the country BILLIONS. If they stop the socialist programs they would save BILLIONS. It will help Paris Hilton and other worthless spawn keep their unearned and undeserved billions and increase our burgeoning deficits. So using your logic... I think you and your ilk should give your income to the govt. I don't believe socialists deserve the money they have... Let me impose my will on you. That is fair!!
