I've got to admit that Bernanke is, so far, much more to my liking than I ever expected. If he keeps this up he'll rank up there with Paul Volker.

Calculated Risk told me he'd be a great choice, but I was a doubter. It looks like I was wrong and I hope that continues to be the case.

I'd love to see all of these real estate subsidies rolled-back. Connie Mack's committee suggested it, with the elimination of the deductibility of mortgages etc, and the response was absolute silence. People won't part with their welfare willingly.
