Hello!! It was BUSH who stepped on that 3RD RAIL, Social Security and CONGRESS who refused to move on it. Bills are enacted in CONGRESS not the Presidency. jdn

Nice try. The tax cuts worked exactly as Bush said they would. If the economy slows down as it will inevitably, then Congress MUST put the brakes on spending as tax receipts slow with the economy.

Oh, & as JDN pointed out, Bush pushed hard to fix Social Security - Congress, more accurately the DNC & MSM helped quash it with their oh so typical campaign of intentionally misleading Americans.
