the actual implementation of any such rapid solution would be an economic disaster, probably causing massive recessions in the developed world, and starvation in the least developed countries.

I can see where electrifying our railroads would be an economic disaster. I can see why building a massive windpower industry would be economic disaster. I understand why putting solar on every roof would be an economic disaster.
Am I missing any more?

I wonder if WHO has a study planned covering the loss of life from that. Then we can compare malaria deaths vs starvation deaths.
