Could I ask clarification on this point? The important thing IMO is this, the US of A is an IDEA and not a geographical place at a point in time.

Is everyone in Great Britain a minority? Seems like the Scots, Picts, Angles, Saxons, Celts, Jutes, etc., are so disparate that there can't possibly any one that is the majority. The same thing could said about every other nation on the planet. We think of ourselves as a nation of immigrants, but the fact is that the human race is a race of foot loose wanderers. -- Carl
