Sun first cracked Art some time ago using their compiler to change the way the program works. The bottom line is that a processor, to be considered high end, needs to have high end size of cache, and it is about time for AMD to get on with the program. No what matters is delivered performance and how you get there is not important. Cache is a quick boost for processors that are otherwise evenly matched but is not essential, after all it never put P4 or Itanium above K8.
