That reflects the depth of the disagreement. Jenkins is somewhat right of center on many issues. He apparently believes in a nuanced position of illegal trespass by foreigners wanting the American way of life. You are correct that the way to solve the problem is to start by enforcing our borders. After we see what the effects are on our society from enforcing the current laws, we can adjust the laws to suit the need. One reason many "conservatives" support illegal immigration is that legal immigration is so restricted.
