"Up pops the lurking corn farmer on the government dole!" Outside of Iraq, the biggest political platform for the left wing is going to be support for farmers who back bio-fuel and alternative energy like wind farms. That's Ish. The left wing is likely to get swamped in the Iraq rhetoric, that leaves one big ticket item still on the table. Ish is an expert, so you might want to treat him a little more respectfully, if that's possible. There are some other issues but the left and right aren't really distinguishing themselves on those yet.
