A reason to believe in god might go thusly: 1. there may not be a god, but there may be. 2. there may not be eternal life or salvation but there may 3. God may not require belief but he may 4. belief alone may not save one but it may. So on the whole believing is good insurance. 5. there may be other things you have to do. 6. other religions may have the necessary steps to obtain salvation. 7. believing in all religions may not be possible (as they may be exclusionary) but it may. 8. 50-50 odds of eternal bliss aren't bad.. so believing in all religions is the best policy all in all and doing all necessary things to obtain salvation might not be a bad idea either. Actually I think with the possibility of mutual exclusionary philosophies, the odds are no more than 25% but the reward is great. I am still looking for a religion that will allow a maximum amount of sin, and the least amount of observance and suffering. We are looking for one easy on hell, and long on wine and women with a good vacation plan. Lutherans seem to have the right attitude. Pass the incense, praise allah, yaweh is great, jesu mi savori, buddha buddha, going to mass, oye vai, krishnamurti, hail mary, rasta mon. EC<:-}
