"8 years south korea - you?" Clifford probably won't answer that question. By his own words, he "lucked out" and didn't get drafted and he clearly didn't have the guts to volunteer for military service.

So you respect Jack Murtha? He is a Korea and Vietnam veteran. A Marine's Marine. A man who has seen it all in terms of the US military's greatest exploits and most tremendous blunders. Murthas knows most of the blunders result from poor and dishonest policy-making at the very top, not as the result of the troops doing anything wrong, though sometimes they do when they're led by poor examples and attitudes. The problem now is with Cheney-Rumsfield especially, those two military corporate CEO dinosaurs (who never served in combat) who have been running things in the wrong way since day one. And it's no coincidence Cheney's own company is the biggest profit-maker from the war, and the biggest cheat in terms of overcharging taxpayers. Of course the buck stops with Bush (or should if he ever held himself accountable), but the problem now is pisspoor leadership and planning at the top. That's all it is really. Three guys who have hijacked our military, misled us in many serious ways and put our troops and nation at great risk for reasons which turned out to be mainly BS.
