I think that's a good summary. My own parents will officially be homeless in one week, primary caused by inflation outstripping their pension/SS gains of the past 15-20 years since they retired. They'll live in a 5th wheel trailer I guess until they can't manage even that any more.

Airlines are losing $$$. People fly because it's cheaper than driving. Airlines are also much tighter with available flights as well. Lean and mean and losing $$$. I expect RR travel to pick up. It's cheaper, slower and more comfortable than most airlines. Lot less hassle than driving. Doubt it has the capacity to make much difference though.
