I have no idea what is "fair". I just know I took the trouble to see it, and seeing it is better than having someone tell me about it- assuming that person saw it. Honestly, the comments of someone who didn't see it mean nothing to me- it's not personal, it's just a question of what that person would have to offer when they haven't any basis to comment on the movie. I agree that people who haven't seen it have every right to post articles, but how would you evaluate the truth of the articles when you haven't seen the movie? The previews were much more..."exciting" than the movie. They were not (imo) representative.

I don't know who told you about "much" of the inhabited world being innundated. That certainly wasn't the case- so if someone said that, it was a gross exaggeration. The movie was much milder than I expected, after all the hooey slung at it I expected something more like Farenheit- but no, it isn't like that.
