Oh, there's a great deal more that can be done about gun control.

One of these days the politics will shift again. And we'll be able to address it. I just hope it's not some disaster.

Depends on what is meant by "gun control." Maybe he means holding them with both hands? (Stupid joke.)

Or maybe making it illegal for felons to own guns while on probation or until pardoned? Or making it illegal for people with restraining orders for domestic violence to own guns? Or maybe making it illegal to own a fully automatic machine gun without a special BATF license?

I doubt very much that any national police organization favors disarming the entire law abiding population from all guns whatsoever.

My impression is that cops want good guys to have guns but not bad guys, but they don't like certain kinds of guns or certain kinds of bullets.

Everybody in the family but me is an NRA member. My rule on guns is that they can't be cleaned on the dining room table.
